Organization Legal Name

A U.S. tax-exempt organizational legal entity should have the name with which it obtained tax-exempt status and is listed on the IRS website entered into “organization name” in its Foundation Connect organization record. If the organization is not a tax-exempt United States entity, simply ask the organization what its legal name is and use that. If the organization uses another name in addition to its legal name, that can be entered into the “Also Known As” field.
