Items to Approve - Home Page – Approval Component Enhancement

Purpose of the document:

  • The purpose of this Release Notes is about the new changes in the Home Page Approval Components which has been enhanced using Lightning components.
  • The look and feel in the new approval components will be little bit different from the existing approval components and there are no changes in the existing functionality/behavior on how the Approvers can Reassign / Approve / Reject the records from their Home Page itself.

Differences between the Previous Version and Current Version:

1 Under the Items to Approve section there is a column named as Action containing the three links Approve / Reject / Re-Assign Action has been moved into drop-down list and will contain the three links Approve / Reject / Re-Assign
2 Approvers can Approve the record by selecting and clicking the Approve text under the Action column Approvers need to select the record and click the Arrow-Mark under the Related To column and select Approve to approve the records
3 Approvers can Reject the record by selecting and clicking the Reject text under the Action column Approvers need to select the record and click the Arrow-Mark under the Related To column and select Reject to reject the records
4 Approvers can Re-Assign the record by selecting and clicking the Re-Assign text under the Action column Approvers need to select the record and click the Arrow-Mark under the Related To column and select Re-Assign to Re-Assign the records
5 Approve Selected, Reject Selected and Re-Assign Selected are the buttons available Approve Selected, Reject Selected, Re-Assign Selected and Request for Change are the buttons available

Use the Horizontal Scroll bar to move to the Items to Approve Section:

Steps to Proceed:

  1. Single Approval Process:

Login as Approver and click the home button:

Scroll down to Items to Approve Section and Click the arrow-mark:

Click Approve:

Enter your comments and click Yes/ You can also choose not to enter comments and Click Yes.

Click Ok:

  1. Mass Approval Process:

Login as Approver and click the home button:

Scroll down to Items to Approve Section:

Check the Checkbox:

Scroll-down using the Horizontal Scroll bar and click Approve Selected:

Enter your comments and click Yes/ You can also choose not to enter comments and Click Yes.

Click Ok:
